Working Life As An Customer Service Executive


"Good Morning Mun Yee speaking, how may I assist you?(with a great smile)"
"Oh...You would like to change your package / reconnect back your Astro service/ check your bill??Okay, no problem I can definitely assist you with this,now can you read me your Astro account number please?"

Guess what,I'm working as a customer service executive in Astro. I need to repeat this sentence hundred times th minute I put on my headset everyday now~
At first I thought this would be a simple job for me as I don't need to do anything, just answering calls and speaking to the customers, but I found out that this job is quite stressful for me...
I learnt how to handle the complicated system, learnt how speed up my typing speed and learn how to type while speaking to the customer, we must be extra careful so as to provide accurate
and definite answers to the customer who calls in in a very short time just to save their credits and of course our times. (you know, some of the customers really fussy ;-S)It is very normal to get scolded everyday actually...zZZ try to imagine I have to speak with 40-100 customers per day non-stop...

I work according to the shifts, it can be at early at 8am and at late until 12am sometimes and I'm the only Chinese in my batch! Most of them are Indians but guess what, we are so close and can really have fun together, glad to have such a batch of nice colleagues=)

Why am I feeling tired everyday when I'm just sitting inside the office??Well I travel 2 hours from my house to the office everyday, back and forth would be 4 hours. Sometimes I even need to change from STAR line LRT to PUTRA LRT to work. With this I can easily fall asleep everyday with no lullaby...
One thing to be happy about is that they actually pay us quite well;-) Actually there were some issues happened concerning about our salaries but since we have already signed the contract, we have to accept the fact that we are earning 5k++ for 3 months only...

This is indeed a superb experience to me, but I swear, this is my first and the last time working in a customer service center, don't wanna get scolded everyday...=P

yup, working as a customer service consultant is very stressful and almost everyday/every call has to respond to those fussy customer, once they feel unsatisfied, they will just scolded u non-stop....
plus, u need to know many things on the spot so that their problems can be solved quickly and you don't need to ask around pple on every little issues, haha, I have tried it before.

But, salary is high for those who work in customer services department.

have long holiday then must have some relaxing time indeed, dun just stay in office, hang out for some fun, i dun have such a long holiday as you all, so use ur time happily instead of staying in the office being scolded by customer all the while, haha~~~
